How to make your hosiery last longer

Here are the professional recommendations from Ambra Hosiery.
“Make sure your hands and feet are smooth and nails are manicured. Jewellery, such as rings should be taken off when putting on hosiery. With particularly fine hosiery it is recommended you use cotton gloves when putting on your hosiery to help prevent catches. Washing hosiery by hand or in a hosiery wash bag with mild soap will prolong the life of your hosiery. Making sure shoes are correctly fitting and that there are no rough surfaces on the inside of your shoes will also help.”
I tend to make sure my stockings are washed with cloths in similar color. Having white fluffs on black stockings, for example, is the last thing I want. Unless I’m washing them by hand I always put them into a wash bag. Hanging stockings is simple, but don’t put them into the hot sun, especially the stay ups, just to ensure the silicon doesn’t deteriorate.
All the best and have fun!
